Recovery organisation celebrates women

The event was done in celebration of Women's Month.

Local women enjoying the night's festivities at the Women's Month event in Scottburgh.

Laqhakaza Iphara Recovery held a fun-filled and interactive Women’s Month event at Scottburgh’s LP Café last Friday.

The event brought together local women who helped and supported the recovery organisation since its establishment.

Emmanuel Msomi, founder of the recovery organisation was the host for the night.

A majority of the women were awarded an opportunity to share their personal stories about how they first heard about the local organisation and what roles they have been playing behind the scenes.

A local poet, DJs, motivational speakers and artists provided great entertainment as well.

The night was an overall success and ended with a scrumptious meal.
