Man arrested with drugs at taxi rank

The man was found to be carrying various drugs.

Members of Port Shepstone Public Order Policing (POP) conducted stop and search duties at Port Shepstone taxi rank, and noticed a suspicious-looking man, on Monday last week.

Police spokesperson Captain Petros Mpinge said the man was searched, and cocaine, tik (crystal meth) and rock was found in his possession.

He was arrested and charged for possession of drugs.

The 37-year-old man appeared in the Port Shepstone Magistrate’s Court, and the matter has been postponed to a later date.
