Criminals sentenced, detectives commended

Several local detectives have been commended by Ugu District Detective Commander Brigadier Bongani Sibiya for their roles in helping families of victims get justice.

There were a few cases in the Scottburgh Court that concluded recently.

Mbili was also declared unfit to possess a firearm.

Together with an accomplice, they stole stock and cash after threatening the store owner with a knife.

The three vehicles that were at the premises had been stolen. Intensive investigations began by detectives, which led them to Howick, where the vehicles were recovered with the assistance of a security company.

Two men were arrested and revealed where they had dumped the body of the deceased, who had been shot near Highflats.
