Umzinto Saps recently conducted several operations in its policing area, which led to the discovery of stores selling counterfeit products.
A 30-year-old business owner was found selling counterfeit clothing at a store last Wednesday. The goods were confiscated.
On the same day, a 50-year-old man, the owner of a fruit and vegetable business, was arrested after it was established that he was selling counterfeit cigarettes. A very large amount of cigarettes were confiscated.
Both men will appear in court soon on charges relating to the Counterfeit Goods Act.
