A 23 year old man and his relative were arrested in Roseville informal settlement, Umzinto last Tuesday morning after being found in possession of an unlicensed firearm and four rounds of live ammunition.
Umzinto Saps members responded to the complaint during the early hours of that morning after the firearm was discharged damaging the roof prior to their arrival.
Both men were arrested for possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition, and will appear in court soon.
The public is encouraged to report illegal firearms and ammunition to local Saps. Information will be treated as strictly confidential.
