Drug dealer nabbed in Park Rynie

A large amount of cash was also found.

Scottburgh Saps arrested a 43 year old man for dealing in drugs after he was found in possession of a variety of prohibited drugs and a substantial amount of cash at his Park Rynie apartment recently.

The intelligence driven operation was conducted by Lieutenant Colonel Vijay Moodley, the Visible Policing Commander at Scottburgh Saps, together with her members on September 8 at about 06:00.

The drugs, which included crystal methamphetamine, rock cocaine and methcathinone were found concealed in the man’s apartment. Some R12 800 in cash was also discovered.

The man was arrested and has since appeared in the Scottburgh Magistrate’s Court. He is to remain in police custody until his next appearance.

“Colonel Ralph Ruiters commended the members for the arrest and asked them to pursue criminals tirelessly,” said Scottburgh Saps communications officer, Captain Adam Francis.
