Five accused in double murder back in court

They have remained in police custody since their arrest in December 2022.

The five men allegedly linked to the murder of Dale Kistna (32) and Sphelele Shongwe (24) from Marburg appeared in the Port Shepstone Magistrate’s Court last Friday.

Businessman Dane Rangasamy (38), and brothers Vishaan Dharamraj (43) and Rajeeth Dharamraj (47) alongside Mark Naidoo (47) and Mervyn Craig Nadarajan (42) from Saps Crime Intelligence in Port Shepstone were arrested on December 13, 2022.

At their appearance in B Court, the case was postponed to May 31 for further investigation as the content of mobile phones need to be downloaded, and the results of the DNA at the crime scene are awaited.
Kistna’s decomposed body was found at Msinsini area on February 28 last year, and then, the skeletal remains of Shongwe were also found in the same vicinity in September 2022.

The accused have remained in police custody since their arrest.
