Family identifies woman found dead in Mtwalume

After the woman had gone missing, her family requested information on her whereabouts via social media.

A woman whose body was found in bushes in Mtwalume last Monday, has been identified by her family.

KwaZulu-Natal SAPS spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Nqobile Gwala confirmed that she was officially identified as Nonoza Victoria Mbhele (44).

It is believed Mbhele’s family posted on social media that a female family member had been missing after she was last seen leaving her home in Malikazi, near Isipingo en-route to Adams Mission, however she did not reach her destination.

According to a source who did not wish to be named, the family asked for information and on the same day they were informed about the body that was found in Mtwalume.

“The matter is still under investigation,” added Gwala.
