Resource Drilling takes care of all your fresh water needs

Owner of Resource Drilling, Ben Steenkamp says he always had love and passion for working in the deep rural areas, helping those with no water supply, especially as water is an important source of life.

Ben said no one can survive without water and with that in mind that is how his company was born, supplying fresh water to those in need.

His career started in 1997 on the coast where he worked for JD Drilling, thereafter National Drilling before he travelled to Mozambique to do water drilling as well. He then decided to start up his own company.

“Resource Drilling was opened as a partnership and ran for 10 years. I then decided to invest more in the business and bought my partners’ shares and went on my own, and it has been three years running solo.”

Ben said his inspiration comes from just seeing the need for a water supply, even though a lot of drillers are known to be working on mines, he said he has never had an interest to work there.

“It’s an absolute thrill for me to support the locals as well as those in need of fresh water, whether it’s farmers, the private sector or business, I am there to do the work. We have a branch in Uvongo which covers the coast, another in Transkei and one in Hluhluwe to cover the North Coast and surrounding areas.

Resource Drilling offers the following services: Borehole drilling; borehole testing; pump installations including electric, solar and hand pumps; supply and erecting of tank stands and installation of pressure systems for hotels and complexes.
