High spirits at Hlanganani’s inter-house meet

Whales was declared the winner.

Hlanganani Preparatory School was busy with sports last week, starting with cross-country hosted by Southcity last Tuesday. Well done to the runners, especially Jaden Newell who won his age group.

The school celebrated spring day last Friday. The school was colourful as learners and educators donned their flower attire. It was a fun day and learners enjoyed the special assembly.

An exciting inter-house athletics day was held at Port Shepstone Senior Primary last Saturday.
The three competing houses, Sharks, Whales and Dolphins were in high spirits. Grades R – 2 started the day with egg and spoon and fill the bucket for boys and girls. Grades 4 -7 participated in different events 80m, 100m, 200m,400m, relay, shot put and long jump. The learners were dressed in their house colours of Whales (black), Sharks (red) and Dolphins (blue).

At the end of the day, Sharks were victorious, followed by Dolphins and Whales.
The school thanks Port Shepstone Senior Primary for use of their field and also to staff, parents and learners who participated in making this event so enjoyable and successful.
