Yasmeen House wins at PS Islamic’s athletics meet

Winning house captain Abdur Rahman lauded his educators and team mates for making it possible to bring home the trophy.

Learners and parents converged onto the Marburg Secondary School for the final leg of the Port Shepstone Islamic School‘s annual inter-house athletics that took place last Sunday.

Yasmeen House emerged as winners with Warda House taking second position.
The Foundation Phase athletics meeting and the field events were concluded earlier in the week.

The event saw learners dashing from start to finish for the sprints and the variety of novelty races added to the excitement of the day.

Winning house captain Abdur Rahman lauded his educators and team mates for making it possible to bring home the trophy. Educators and learners are thanked together with the kind sponsors, donors, helpers and spectators for their contribution towards the success of the day.

Abdur Rahmaan Khamissa and Hamzah Moolla represented the school at the Association of Muslim Schools Grade 8 quiz competition at the Orient Islamic School in Durban last Saturday. While they did not make it to the finals, they benefitted immensely from the exposure.
