Volleyball success for Jai Hind

The school has done particularly well of late.

Sports achievers at Jai Hind Primary are (from left) Shreya Jagesser, Joshua Govender, Tae Smith and Kamvelethu Ngaleka.

Jai Hind Primary entered four teams in the recent schools’ volleyball knockout competition, U12 and U14 boys and girls.

In both knockouts, Jai Hind was the overall winner, out of 23 teams.

Special thanks are extended to coaches Sushilla Kistamurthy, Katinka Harrynanan, Leticia Ngema, Zama Mbasha, Thabisile Madlala, Michelle Michael, Ivan Govender and Hilda Balkaran.

The school is also proud of three learners, namely Ezra Naidoo, Kaessyn Naidoo and Cherise Thulsi, who were selected to represent Ugu District at the Winter Provincial Games to be held in Durban.

Ivan Govender has been chosen as the coach for the U14 boy’s volleyball team for these games.
