Neil McDonald has been elected as the president of the Rotary Club of Amanzimtoti for 2022/2023.
Many people know McDonald as the CEO of Khanya Hospice in Umkomaas.
“It’s a great privilege to serve the community,” he said.
“I trust that we can get all our anticipated projects off the ground and see them all the way through. Some projects do take a little longer than others to materialize, but I am sure we will be able to make a difference in the lives of many people during my term of office.”
McDonald takes the reins from former president, Dr Penny Orton who has started some of the club’s projects for the new year already.
“The club members and I will continue with them and will try and make the best of every opportunity we have,” he added.
People are also asked to prepare themselves for fundraising events to come soon.
