A woman (43) was murdered in Kadville Heights, Umzinto last Thursday, at about 12:20.
According to police, a 54-year-old woman was with her employer’s daughter (the deceased) when they were accosted by unknown men.
“At gunpoint the men demanded cash,” said Saps KZN media centre liaison, Constable Thenjiswa Ngcobo.
The victim’s body was then found lying on the side of the bed.
“It is suspected that the victim was suffocated.”
The 54-year-old woman was arrested.
The matter is still under investigation.
