Four arrested in drug bust

Drugs were found in Margate and Gcilima.

The only way to take a stance against drug abuse and sales is to get the public to continue reporting these criminal activities.

Police have recently commended the public for reporting criminal activities and encouraged them to continue to do so.

Margate police acted on information and arrested three men aged 43 and 35 at the Margate taxi rank for possession of drugs. Police spokesperson, Captain Petros Mpinge said the men were searched and a number of heroin capsules were found in their possession last Friday evening.

“A 32-year-old man was also arrested by police at Qombe in Gcilima on June 11 after information was received. All four men have appeared in the Ramsgate Magistrate’s Court on charges of possession of drugs and dealing in drugs, and the matter has been postponed to a later date for further investigation.”
