In yet another brazen drive-by shooting, three people were killed in Ezinqoleni last Sunday.
Charges of murder and attempted murder were opened at Ezinqoleni Saps after the three, aged between 11 and 51, were fatally shot at Kwa Machi area.
Police spokesperson, Lieutenant-Colonel Nqobile Gwala said five of them suffered gunshot wounds and were taken to hospital for medical attention.
“It is alleged that the family members were travelling in a minibus when another vehicle with unknown suspects pulled up next to them and began shooting. The motive is unknown and is still under investigation.”
The youngest victim is six years old.
