Public invited to addiction awareness conference

The organisation, which is a non-profit, sends a special invite to local residents struggling with addiction of any kind, as help will be at hand.

Laqhakaza Iphara recovery organisation invites the public to an addiction awareness conference at the DSB hall in Umkomaas this Saturday (14th) at 09:00.

The organisation, which is a non-profit, sends a special invite to local residents struggling with addiction of any kind, as help will be at hand.

Founder of the NPO, Emmanuel Msomi also requests people who know of struggling addicts to attend to see how to help as a friend, family member or colleague.

“We merely want to spread the word of recovery and show and that it is possible,” said Msomi.

The Laqhakaza Iphara 12 step programme will be introduced to attendees and a few guest speakers are expected.

The team has extended invites to correctional services and the health departments as well as various other local organisations.
