Miss Durbanite pageant title for Kiara

Winning Miss Durbanite has been a huge achievement.

Her days are spent exploring, enacting Bollywood movie scenes, studying and mastering new skills.

Her recent accolade, was winning the Miss Durbanite 2022 title at the inaugural Mr and Miss Durbanite Pageant held at the Mumbai Lounge, Durban.

Kiara is a well recognised content creator on TikTok with a following of over 21K. She loves Indian dancing and has performed with renowned entertainers and deejays from across the country.

In one of her first pageants, Miss Hibiscus 2018 she was the first runner-up. Last year she pursued modelling photography, has been modelling for an Eastern clothing store, has done various Diwali photography shoots which was published on various platforms.

“Pursuing a career in modelling is something that I have enjoyed ever since I was little. It’s something that boosts my confidence levels as well as, makes me a better individual,” she said.

Her career goals over the next five years: Kiara would like to be qualified and employed at a renowned firm. “Dancing wise, I would love to go international. It’s definitely one of my biggest goals. I’m passionate about my dancing, it’s something I really enjoy and allows me to express my culture. Modelling wise, I would want to take part in Miss India SA, it’s something I’ve always wanted to do,” she said.

One of Kiara’s greatest weakness would be her levels of procrastination. She always leaves things to be done at the last moment, but tries to do her best to start doing things earlier, just so she doesn’t feel pressurized as due date gets closer.

She thanks everyone who has supported and motivated her.
