Emergency services responded to a three-vehicle collision on the N2 Ifafa earlier this morning.
One of the vehicles was transporting children to school of which 11 had been injured.
According to Craig Botha of Kwazulu Private Ambulance Service, once paramedics assessed the scene, it was discovered that one patient sustained critical injuries, four patients sustained serious injuries and six patients sustained minor injuries.
The patients were treated at the scene before being transported to hospital for further treatment. The cause of the accident is unknown at this stage.
