Learners of Merlewood Primary School celebrated Heritage Day last week.
The festivities included the singing of traditional songs, traditional dancing and other fun Heritage Day enrichment activities which were completed throughout the week.
Three learners from Merlewood Primary have been selected to represent the Ugu District at the Regional school sport selections in the volleyball category, that will take place in Pietermaritzburg on October 8 and 9.
Staff and learners of Merlewood Primary would like to wish Britney Denness, Jordan Dawood and Tyval Fynn all the best for the upcoming selections.
School closed on October 1 and will re-open on Monday.
