It has been reported that two burnt bodies have been discovered at Ugu market in Mkholombe near Marburg.
This happened today when the market was in flames.
An eye witness, who did not want to be mentioned, said he saw the bodies.
Police are at the area. More than four graders, 15 Ugu municipality vehicles, and trucks have been burnt at this place.
Ugu spokesperson France Zama said the area has been barricaded by the police and municipal officials are not allowed access just yet.
“I cannot confirm at the moment because I have not been able to get inside, but infrastructure has been burnt,” said Zama.
Efforts to get response and comment from the police have been in vain.
