WATCH: Truck set alight on N2 near Bhobhoyi

An accident involving two vehicles occurred on the N2 in Bhobhoyi today (July 10) around 20:00.

According to a source who did not want to be named, a truck was blocked from moving as a result of the accident.

The source added that the truck was set alight afterwards.

A video of the truck being set alight has been circulated on WhatsApp.

Police and emergency services have responded to the scene.

There is much speculation on social media as to why the truck was set alight, especially following the recent provincial wide protests surrounding the incarceration of ex-president, Jacob Zuma.

An official statement is awaited from the police.
