An Umzinto woman (76) was with her spouse at home when an unknown man pulled open a gate and entered the house at about 2pm last Thursday (6th).
The man demanded cash from the victim, and after being told she had nothing in her possession, he grabbed the television and fled.
Scottburgh Saps communications officer, Captain Adam Francis, asks the public to ensure burglar gates and drive way gates are locked at all times as precautionary safety measures. “People must also be alert of their surroundings,” he added.
