Umzinto Saps has appealed to anyone with information regarding an armed robbery and shooting at Riverside Park, Umzinto last Tuesday (20th).
According to police, at about 8.40pm that evening, the male victim (25) was approached by three unknown men.
“One of the men wielded a firearm and demanded cash from the man,” said Scottburgh Saps communications officer, Captain Adam Francis.
“The man was then shot and robbed of his cash and cellphone.”
He was then transported to GJ Crookes Hospital where the gunshot wound to his leg was treated.
