End of an era for Izotsha Primary

There was a sad yet joyful atmosphere throughout the school for the entirety of the day.

Izotsha Primary School bid farewell to its principal of 21 years, Neville Richards.

March 31 marked his final day at school, where the school gave Mr Richards a befitting, Covid-19 compliant farewell.

There was a sad yet joyful atmosphere throughout the school for the entirety of the day.

Speeches were made and learners all sang Mr Richards’s favourite song, “Fill the World with Love,” followed by the Izotsha School song.

Mr Richards walked through the corridors of the school where each class clapped and cheered loudly for him, handing him a balloon.

At the end of the school day, he released the balloons given to him whilst the learners were able to watch them float off into the air.

As parents were not able to exit their cars, they hooted as the balloons were released.

The school wishes Mr Richards well in his much deserved retirement.

Best wishes to Cally Roberts who will be filling the position of Acting Principal.
