Two men were arrested by Margate police after a hijacking incident in Wingate road in Margate this afternoon.
The hijacking took place at around 2pm and within a few hours, the men had been arrested and the vehicle recovered.
“A Ford Ranger vehicle was recovered by police, as well as some other items,” said police spokesman Sergeant Sbu Ncane.
The men have been charged and are currently in police custody awaiting a court appearance.
Sgt Ncane said no injuries were reported at the time of the incident.
The dog unit, search and rescue, Margate task team, Margate detectives and private security companies were involved in the arrests and praised for the swift response.
