Pensioner and domestic worker attacked by intruders

The women sustained bruises to their wrists and thighs.

A pensioner was at home with her domestic worker when they were accosted by two unknown men on Big Fisherman Drive in Pumula yesterday (14th ) morning at 9.30am.

Police spokesman Captain Petros Mpinge said it is believed the men gained entry through an open back door.

The intruders threatened the women with knives and subsequently bound them together with pieces of bedding and plastic.

They then ransacked the house, fleeing with jewellery, cell phones, clothing and cash.

Southport Saps detectives are investigating, but no arrests have been made yet.
