Girl Guide high tea raises funds for South Coast Hospice

Some 20 families from the South Coast and Johannesburg joined the virtual tea party.

Girl Guides Port Shepstone recently held a virtual high tea to raise funds for South Coast Hospice.

The tea was hugely successful, raising R6 000 for the organisation.

‘Funky Florals’ was the theme and everyone was encouraged to hold their own tea time at home, surrounded by family.

Some 20 families from the South Coast and Johannesburg joined the virtual tea party.

Girl Guide leader, Panda Jolene Evans, who recently celebrated her 50th birthday, said the event was great fun.

“Virtual Girl Guide meetings have been held right through lockdown and these will continue so that Guides from all over the country can unite and join in the various activities,” she said.
