A vehicle theft caught on CCTV led police to arrest a suspect on the N2 at Scottburgh recently.
On Friday, August 21, a man (67) parked his Toyota Avanza in the parking lot of a shopping mall at the Port Shepstone beachfront.

When he came out of the store, he found another vehicle in the parking space and his vehicle was gone.
Police immediately followed up on CCTV footage and an arrest was made.
The 34-year-old suspect from Umlazi was charged for theft of motor vehicle and possession of motor vehicle break-in implements.
He appeared in court on August 24 and the case has been remanded for further investigation.
