Get colourful for Cansa

The Shavathon provides an opportunity for everyone to be involved in inspiring hope, by spraying or stencilling their hair, shaving their head, or donating a ponytail to make a wig.

Shave or spray for Cansa’s 17th national Shavathon, taking place locally at the Hibiscus Mall and Southcoast Mall this weekend.

The theme ‘Hope 2020’ is apt, as participants will be giving ‘hope’ to cancer survivors and loved ones by showing solidarity with their fight against cancer.

The Shavathon provides an opportunity for everyone to be involved by spraying or stencilling their hair, shaving their head, or donating a ponytail to make a wig.

Adults pay R50 and children under 12 are charged R25 to take part.

Funds raised go towards Cansa’s care and support programmes for patients, caregivers and loved ones.

Be at the Southcoast Mall on Saturday, February 29 and Sunday, March 1 from 9am to 3pm, or the Hibiscus Mall on Saturday, February 29 from 9am to 2pm.

Staff from Tiago’s and Sign Master and rugby players from the Sharks Academy Southern KwaZulu-Natal will be at the Southcoast Mall this Saturday.

Volunteers from the non-profit organisation, Hope on the Move will be assisting at the Southcoast Mall on Sunday.

Ramsgate Lions will volunteer their services at the Hibiscus Mall on Sunday.

Bring your family and friends and share #Hope2020
