International pundit visits temple

At the age of 10, Chunelall Narine became the world’s youngest pundit to officiate at a prayer.

Devotees at the Shree Raam Narayn Temple in Marburg were privileged to meet world-famous bhajan singer Pundit Chunelall Narine from New York.

Pundit Narine, an internationally recognised and respected motivational speaker, author, Hindu missionary and United Nations Peace Award winner was accompanied by several musicians who performed devotional songs in birha, chutney and nagara styles.

Chairman of the Shree Raam Narayn Temple Singh Samsunder said Pundit Narine, at the age of 10, became the world’s youngest pundit to officiate at a massive Gita Yajna (prayer).

“He has made 50 professional recordings of bhajans, kirtans and excerpts from the holy Ramayan and Shri Satyanarayan Vrath Katha.

“His DVDs, including, Gems of Devotion , and book, Bhakti Sangeet, have become best sellers around the world,” he said.
