Tertiary education bursary applications now open

Those wishing to further their education at registered institutions must submit their applications by January 17.

UMDONI Municipality is inviting applications for tertiary education bursaries.

“Successful applicants will receive a grant of R5 000 to assist with registration fees,” said the municipality’s communications manager, Sphelele Cele.

Those wishing to further their education at registered institutions must submit their applications by January 17.

The application must include a certified copy of the student’s identity document; a copy of their most recent academic record; their Grade 12 results; proof/letter of acceptance/admission of the tertiary institution; proof of residence (obtainable from the ward councillor) and proof of income for their parent/guardian.

Application forms are available from the municipality’s main office in Scottburgh or from any municipal library in Ifafa Beach, Malangeni, Park Rynie, Pennington, Scottburgh, Sezela, Shayamoya, Umzinto and Vulamehlo.

Applications, together with the supporting documentation, must be forwarded to the Municipal Manager, Umdoni Municipality, PO Box 19, Scottburgh 4180 or hand-delivered to the Umdoni Municipality offices.

Emailed or faxed applications will not be accepted.

No late applications will be considered.

Applicants who have not been contacted within 30 days from the closing date should consider their application unsuccessful.
