Bikers rev up to help Harmony Hill Rescue Haven
The Durban Free Chapter club chose Harmony Hill and National Sea Rescue Institute Durban as their charity organisations for 2019.
Harmony Hill Rescue Haven got a wonderful visit last Sunday from the Durban Free Chapter motorcycle club.
The group of bikers chose Harmony Hill and National Sea Rescue Institute Durban as their charity organisations for 2019.

Earlier this year, the group raised funds through their Duma Rally, and this money was used to purchase equipment for the animals at the shelter.
After a breakfast run to Port Shepstone last weekend, they stopped in at Harmony Hill to donate boxes of goodies to the animal haven.
Penny Taylor of Harmony Hill said the incredible gesture from the bikers was greatly appreciated.
“The hairs on your arms would have stood up if you had watched this group of magnificent machines arrive at Harmony Hill, in full Free Chapter regalia plus a follow-up vehicle filled with an amazing selection of Christmas gifts and equipment for our rescue havens – hooves, bags of dog food, boxes of toys, feeding bowls and vet equipment for our outreach initiatives,” said Penny.
She extended a warm thanks to the bikers and everyone else who arrived to assist.
“You made our day such a happy one and there are so many dogs and a few more cats who are can’t wait to see what is under the Christmas tree for them – we actually might start using everything right now.
“And to those animals we haven’t reached yet – in 2020 we will do our very best to help you. We are so very very grateful to every single person who was involved in the collection of this largesse.”
