Jai Hind brushes up dental skills

Pupils learnt all about good dental hygiene and were delighted to receive toothbrushes and a mini tube of toothpaste.

Oral hygienist Wandisa Ndindwa from Colgate presented an informative talk to Jai Hind Primary’s foundation phase pupils last week.

She encouraged them to brush their teeth every day and follow healthy eating habits to maintain good, strong teeth.

Gr 7 pupils and their parents attended an informative meeting at the school last week.

The meeting focused on promotion requirements for gr 7 and also touched on pertinent topics such as peer pressure and bullying.

The transition from primary school to high school is often difficult and fraught with many challenges and problems arising from peer pressure.

In his address to parents principal Dayalan Govender urged parents to play a more active part in their childrens’ lives.

It is hoped that guidelines and advice given will assist parents and pupils.
