On hold

The South Coast’s literati community will be most disappointed to note that this year’s Ramsgate Book and Art Festival has been postponed. The festival was scheduled to run from July 25 to 28.

According to the organisers, funding was a major hurdle and the committee reluctantly had to put the festival on hold. The annual festival which began in 2015 played host to authors, artists and poets and attracted visitors from far and near. It is another wonderful South Coast event that has been taken off the calendar because of the sad state of the economy. We can only hope that a sponsor can be found to revive the literary festival.
