Scottburgh Lions grateful for donations received

Several clothing items were handed over recently at some of the crèches frequently visited by the Lions.

The Scottburgh Lions Club extends grateful thanks to the Knitters and Knatters of Umdoni Retirement Village for all the jerseys, bootie sets, blankets, beanies and scarves made for children in the community.

These were handed over recently at some of the various crèches frequently visited by the Lions.

“The children were thrilled to receive these beautiful warm items of clothing and we are so appreciative,” said Lion Colleen Brown.

The Lions also thank Pick n Pay for the food and clothing collected during a recent drive.

These were handed out at the Kelso Informal Settlement and at the local safe house.

“We are very happy to have been part of this project, and are taken aback by their generosity,” said Colleen.

Thanks also go to Pick n Pay staff members Charmaine Haripersad and Gabriel Pillay who helped distribute items on the day.
