Heroin seized in Scottburgh from man out on parole

He was found in possession of 139 capsules of the drug.

A man convicted of theft reporting to his parole officer at Scottburgh Community Corrections on April 3, was found in possession of 139 capsules of heroin.

He appeared in the Scottburgh Magistrate’s Court and was taken back into custody.

The case is being investigated by Detective Warrant Officer Peter Hattingh of the Scottburgh Saps.

He was previously sentenced to three years’ imprisonment.

“We will do everything in our power to clean our communities of drugs,” said Scottburgh Saps station commander, Colonel Ralph Ruiters.
