Tweni Talk: Help shed some light on ‘hit and run’

Thankfully Ms Naidoo was not seriously injured and she sustained no broken bones, but she did need stitches.

DR YVONNE Huskisson’s night carer Ndhesha Naidoo was involved in a hit and run in Norman Road, just before 6pm last Sunday evening (March 3). She was being dropped off by her father when she was knocked over by someone driving a small grey vehicle full of passengers.

Amazing treatment

Stella Donald says she recently spent three days at the Port Shepstone Regional Hospital and was amazed by her experience after all the negative comments. From the casualty and trauma departments, through to the wards, she was pleasantly surprised by the team of efficient, dedicated and amazing staff, including doctors, nurses and cleaning staff.

She witnessed the hard and long hours that doctors and interns work and incredibly they are still able to joke and smile. The ward was spotless and the care was overwhelming.

Maybe others have had bad experiences, but she says patients must consider the number of people waiting for attention and spare a thought for those trying to please everyone.

She is extremely grateful to the team and their amazing care and says ‘Thank you ward 3 and God bless you in the work that you do.’

Welcome Tinus

The Umtentweni CPF held its AGM recently and the entire committee stood down to encourage a new committee. As an independent, Richard Milligan took over, calling for nominations, and the original committee was voted back in except for the vice-chairman and the committee welcomes Tinus Greyling as vice chairman. Tinus is a dedicated community man and is always ready, willing and able to assist.

All news to Leila.
