Organisers Anna Jordan and Tracy Taylor placed an emphasis on recycling, limiting the use of greenhouse gases and coming up with ideas that would help everyone be more eco-friendly in their everyday lives.

They said the event sought to highlight the necessity of conserving environmental resources and to instil the importance of reducing carbon footprints.

“The festival offered a family friendly environment in the beautiful Mpenjati Nature Reserve with walks, children’s activities, music and talks, all aimed at inspiring people to live a more eco-friendly lifestyle. All over the world, festivals like these, both large and small, are making people more conscious of their ecological footprint,” they explained.
