Schola Amoris graduates ready for the big world

These pupils are taught life skills and given useful information that will help them survive out in the working world.

Schola Amoris is an Umzinto school which strives for the upliftment and development of its pupils who are intellectually challenged.

Before pupils turn 18, they are taught life skills and given useful information that will help them survive out in the working world.

They then receive a farewell and graduate from the school ready to take on the big world by themselves.

Congratulations are in order for 23 of the school’s pupils who graduated last Thursday. Their graduation programme was directed by teacher, Mr K V Govender and entertainment for the day was provided by the Joy Musical Group, who kept the pupils, staff and visitors on their feet singing and dancing along.

The pupils were handed their certificates and capped by their principal, Mrs S N Gumede and by the school’s governing body chairman, Mrs Hlope.

Mrs Gumede gave the pupils an inspiring and motivational speech which encouraged them to strive in all that they do and to always remember that they are loved and will always be part of the Schola Amoris family.

The school’s main aim is to develop their pupils to reach their highest potential, so that they can be happy productive members of society and it hopes it has achieved this.
