The countdown to the inaugural South Caost Herald Longest Drive Challenge has begun.
All the action takes place on the 18th hole at the Port Shepstone Country Club this Sunday, August 26, starting at 10am.

Your R200 entry fee will see you in with a chance to win your share of an amazing R75 000 worth of prizes, including:
Men’s and women’s longest drive
- First prize – Megamaster Sizzler 400 gas braai and a free round for a fourball at the Wild Coast Sun
- Second prize – Garmin X40 sports smartwatch
- Third prize – Megamaster Sizzler charcoal braai
Silver Foxes (0ver 60s) men and women’s longest drive
- First prize – Megamaster Camper 200 gas braai
- Second and third prize – Bottle of gin
Mallo drive and chip competition
- First prize only for both events – 2 night stay for 2 people at San Lameer
Putt competition
- First prize only – 1 night stay for 2 people at Selborne Park
Juniors aged 7 to 9 years and 10 to 12 years
- First prize only -Full set of junior clubs (including bag) from Wilson Staff
Juniors aged 13 to 15 years
- First prize only – Full set of junior/senior clubs (including bag) from Wilson Staff
Even if you’re not an uber-talented golfer, the entrant voted ‘fail of the day’ will walk off with a free round of golf for a fourball at Selborne Park while the entrant deemed most serious, dedicated and competitive will also receive a free round of golf for four at Selborne Park.
To add to the fun, a number of spot prizes will be awarded at random intervals during the day.
