WATCH: 8 suspected poachers arrested, 21 dogs confiscated by SPCA

They are expected to appear in the Ramsgate Magistrate's Court tomorrow (Monday).

Some 21 dogs have been confiscated in the Manaba area by inspectors from the Lower South Coast SPCA.

The dogs had been allegedly been used for illegal hunting.

According to Margate SAPS spokesman, Captain Gerald Mfeka, eight men were arrested for contravening the nature conservation act, and will face charges of poaching.

They are expected to  appear in the Ramsgate Magistrate’s Court tomorrow (Monday).

The dogs have been taken to the SPCA for safekeeping.
