Ugu District Municipality held its annual district bursary and awards ceremony for matriculants recently. Port Shepstone High School pupil Julia Venter emerged top overall in the district and the school received a certificate that recognises the school as one of the top subject performing schools in the Ugu district.

The U15 cricket boys played against Kokstad. PSHS batted first and scored 149 runs with Tyler Hogan scoring 52 runs and Nathan Milton scoring 25. Kokstad was bowled out for 27 runs.
Luyanda Majola took three wickets for 11 runs and Chulumanco Zinto took three wickets for one run and PSHS won by 122 runs.
Basketball was played against Grosvenor. U14 player Ethan Struwig scored 16 points and the team won 20-2. The U15s won their game by 28 points to 10.
