Watch: This is why Louisiana residents are protesting

Motorists are advised to use another route if possible.

A protest is underway at the intersection of Louisiana and St Faith’s Road.

The road has been blocked with burning rubble since early this morning, and motorists are advised to avoid the area if possible.

Some 300 people have gathered, and are waiting to be addressed by Ray Nkonyeni Municipality municipal manager, Max Mbili.

Topping the list of grievances are the on-going illegal electricity connections.
