IT appears the green mambas have woken up for spring!
Snake catcher, Sarel van der Merwe has caught his first green mamba of the season in a tree at holiday resort in Pumula recently.
The howling wind proved to be quite a challenge for Sarel, but despite being tossed about in the tree, he managed to bag the mamba.
The second recent rescue was retrieving a big green mamba from a vehicle in Leisure Bay.

The car was in for a service, and the mechanic was taking out the gear box, when he got a unexpected surprise.
Thank goodness Sarel is always on speed dial’and ready to spring into action.
