MARGATE police are investigating after an 18-year-old girl was raped near a bottle store in Thuthuka area, Gcilima near Margate.

According to police spokesman, Captain Gerald Mfeka, the mother saw her daughter coming out from the bushes with a man. “The mother asked her daughter what had happened and she said she had been raped,” said Capt Mfeka.
A search for the suspect was conducted and the man was arrested.
He is due to appear in court soon.
