TWO people died and another six were injured in a serious crash near Mvutshini on the KwaZulu-Natal South Coast last night (June 2).
Netcare 911 paramedics responded to the reports of the crash on the D1091 road in the Mvutshini area, just inland of Margate.
When the paramedics arrived they found that a large truck that had been transporting logs had left the road and overturned.
Two people had succumbed to severe injuries and died at the scene of the accident.
Another six people were assessed to have sustained relatively minor injuries.
They were taken to hospital for treatment.
The fire department and police also attended to the incident.
