Holidaymakers make an unexpected discovery while walking on Tweni beach

They stumbles across a mysterious box.

A BOX containing ashes washed up at Umtentweni beach last Friday morning.

Holiday makers walking along the shore came across the box and, unsure of what to do with them, contacted the Herald.

Frank Kotze said he and his family found the box near the lagoon.

The box has a code and the surname ‘Visagie’ inscribed on the lid.

The box was taken to the Port Shepstone Police Station for safekeeping.The station can be contacted at 039 688 1005.
