Park Rynie petrol attendants robbed at gunpoint

Shockingly, this was not the only armed robbery to take place recently.

CIGARETTES and cash were the take of the evening when five armed men robbed the Total Park Rynie fuel station at gunpoint last week.

Armed with guns, the five men rounded up the petrol attendants and ordered them to into the convenience store after robbing them of their personal belongings.

One of the robbers approached the pay-point and threatened a cashier at gunpoint, demanding that  she empty the cash register and hand over the money.

A second man helped himself to cigarettes.

The thieves then fled on foot with an undisclosed sum of cash and cigarettes in hand.

Nobody was harmed.

An appeal is made by the Scottburgh SAPS that anyone with information come forward and contact the Scottburgh SAPS Detective Service at 039 9781900 or 039 9789917.

Shockingly, this was not the only armed robbery to take place recently. On February 21, five armed men raided the Nu World store in Umzinto and fled  with an undisclosed sum of cash in a white Audi.

The vehicle was later found abandoned in Isonti.

It has not yet been established if the robberies were committed by the same group of men.
