WATER: Here’s the latest information from Ugu on the water situation

There is still no water in some areas. Here's why.

IN a statement released this morning,  Ugu confirmed that Ramsgate has no water due to the low level of the  Seaslopes reservoir, which is currently only three percent full.

The municipality’s France Zama has assured residents that the municipality is “working on recovering the system after the shutdown”.

“Households around the tower area in Gamalakhe currently have no water due no water getting into the tower. Technicians are investing the cause of this problem,” he added.

There is also no water in Margate Ext. 3, in the vicinity of the airport .

According to Mr Zama, water supply will be restored in approximately three hours.

Meanwhile, although those in Sea Park had water last week while other parts of the coast were dry, this is what it flowed from their taps:
